There was nothing special about Frank. He thought he was an ordinary guy, living an ordinary life until one day he discovered that wasn't true. This book relates some of his early adventures and stories that show just how unordinary Frank is. From the nonchalant kid's habit of hopping trains to get to the park, through loosing his virginity in a most hilarious way, to almost dealing drugs in his beatnik year. Frank has led a most extraordinary life. A very pleasant, humorous, insightful and throughly enjoyable read.

I picked up this book as I searched on the name Scranton. I've lived in Scranton PA for the past 14 years or so and this book is initially set in Scranton. I actually now live in the section of Scranton , the Hill Section, that Mr. Hogg lived in. Despite numerous typo and grammatical errors I enjoyed this part of the book for the most part. I thought that despite the writing being very amatueristic it conveyed some interesting stories. As time went on and Mr. Hogg moved away to Syracuse I found myself less and less interested in his stories. I think the reason for this was twofold, one, he was no longer talking about my neighborhood and two, I started not liking the character of Mr. Hogg. The main reason for the latter was because of his writing about sexual matters with unnecessary details. A good writer could make a wonderful coming-of-age story without the crudeness that Mr. Hogg chose to use. Time and time again the stories reverted back to sexual themes and I was left with the feeling that the writer still hasn't grown up in terms of sexual thoughts. I am far from a prude but I had no idea that I was going to be reading this level of sexual crudeness when I started the book.Product details

Yikes you can see my underpants! eBook Francis Hogg Reviews
A good read, well written by a writer who knows how to tell a good story. Nice pictures, and the stories take you back to a quieter time. Kids could go out and play all day! Cute story about why Frank was born. Worth way more than the 99 cents Yikes, you can see my underpants!
Some good stories in there. But Frank, you need to write about Frank Hogg Labs and all your work with the TRS80/Coco! That's the meat that the people really want )
Enjoyed this book from start to finish. For a man who was conceived to provide company for a brother who was conceived because of a mink coat, Hogg writes very well indeed. The story of his precarious childhood as the youngest of five sons is well written and endlessly entertaining. I can't imagine anyone not liking this one. Hope he keeps writing.
